Anchor Bar Franchise and Development Co. is in negotiations to open an Anchor Bar restaurant in Las Vegas, according to company vice president Mark Dempsey.
“We have a couple of things going on,” Dempsey said. “We want to grow.”
The new restaurant will located in the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian, a luxury hotel resort and casino on the Vegas Strip. It’s the first Anchor Bar in the West. The 1,250-square-foot location will have a quick-service format, in which customers will order their food from a counter and seat themselves. The menu will feature wings, wing bites and chicken fingers.
The Nevada franchise will be owned by Epicuian Strategic Partners, a Las Vegas-based hospitality firm. Construction has already begun on the restaurant, which will open June 15.
In addition to its flagship location at 1047 Main St., Anchor Bar has franchised locations on Transit Road in Williamsville, at Darien Lake Theme Park, at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport and in Hamilton, Ont. The airport location was its first franchised spot, which opened in 2009.
