Warsaw man arrested for a Buffalo home security scam

A 34-year-old Warsaw, New York, man was arrested on felony charges by Buffalo police Thursday for allegedly swindling a Manhart Street woman on a home security deal earlier in the week.

James Boyle of Genesee Street, Warsaw, was arrested near his alleged victim’s home. He was charged with first-degree scheme to defraud, second-degree forgery and petit larceny. The woman told police Boyle had talked her into switching home security system companies and she paid him $168.18, only to find out later that he had been fired from that company and her payment had not been received. She said she was also warned by Boyle’s former employer that the suspect had access to a lot of her personal information.
