Thousands of families and business leaders will meet Sunday at Canalside to participate in the March of Dimes annual March for Babies, the nation’s oldest walk fundraiser honoring babies born healthy and those who need support to survive and thrive.
Register in advance at marchforbabies.org or in person on Sunday at Canalside from 9:30 to 11 a.m., when the 2-mile walk begins. A family Kid’s Zone will be part of the experience.
An estimated 490 babies are born with a birth defect in Western New York each year. March of Dimes provides more than $350,000 for community programs and about $280,000 in research funding in the region.
