Buffalo man sentenced to jail for GPS theft

A man who stole two global positioning systems from a Cheektowaga sporting goods store has been sentenced to six months in jail, town police reported.

Alexander Irizarry, 36, of Buffalo, was arrested by police last Sept. 13 on a petit larceny charge. He was accused of stealing the systems from Cabela’s on Walden Avenue.

Irizarry pleaded guilty, as charged, and was sentenced Wednesday by Town Justice Paul Piotrowski.
