A weapon and hypodermic needle found in a traffic stop in Falls

NIAGARA FALLS – Police stopped a driver on Krull Parkway near Military Road at 1:40 a.m. Wednesday for failure to use her headlights, but the driver faces more charges after allegedly being found with brass knuckles and a hypodermic needle.

Brittany N. Panepinto, 23, of Hennepin Avenue, was charged with fourth-degree possession of a weapon, possession of a hypodermic needle and a traffic violation.

Police searched the vehicle after a passenger was found in possession of an open bottle of beer.

Police found black metal knuckles in the driver’s door, and a hypodermic needle next to numerous prescription bottles with Panepinto’s name on them. She told police she did not have a medical condition requiring a hypodermic needle.
