Lowdown: A second-team All-Big 10 selection following his senior season, Davis greatly helped his draft stock with a solid showing at the Senior Bowl. … Plays with a great deal of power and handles double teams easily. Davis plays light on his feet for a player his size and can shed blockers with a strong upper body. … Very little by way of pass-rush production, with just 3.5 career sacks. … Needs to work on his conditioning. … Chosen as the Senior Bowl’s most outstanding practice player by a panel of NFL scouts.

They said it: “On tape at Iowa, he flashed. Here, he did way more than that. He played every snap, he showed athleticism, an ability to push the pocket and get to the quarterback. He may have elevated himself right into the first round and that’s what this game is all about.” – NFL Network draft analyst Mike Mayock on Davis’ performance at the Senior Bowl.
