LOCKPORT – Chris Smith was announced Tuesday as the new executive director of the Lockport-based Grigg-Lewis Foundation, succeeding William B. May, who retired last year.
Smith joined the charitable foundation in 2002 as program coordinator and, more than a decade later, became assistant executive director. Smith, a Newfane resident, was chosen by the foundation’s board of directors, headed by Christa Caldwell. The board issued a statement saying Smith’s “insight and experience have contributed greatly to the further development of foundation policies, and her dedication to the foundation is indisputable.”
Smith is married and a mother of three.
