"Jail suspect in killing on Phelps farm"

"ALBION -- After a month of probing into the mystery surrounding the murder of Charles Phelps, the rich Orleans County farmer, and his housekeeper, Margaret Wolcott, at the Phelps farm in West Shelby, near Medina, on March 21. Sheriff Hart today announced that an important arrest had been made. The prisoner is a man and he is now lodged in jail in this village. Sheriff Hart has refused to disclose his name."

" 'It is true that an arrest has been made, but [illegible] at this time I cannot tell you the name of the prisoner,' said the sheriff.
