LOCKPORT – The Niagara County Health Department and Office for the Aging are offering a workshop to help people with chronic illnesses, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, chronic pain, arthritis or chronic anxiety, to manage their problem more effectively.
The free workshop series begins May 7 at the Dale Association, 33 Ontario St. Lockport, and will run for six consecutive Thursdays from 9 to 11:30 a.m.
This program is designed to complement a patient’s current health care by providing ideas to better manage symptoms, promote an active and fulfilling lifestyle and to feel better. Instructors encourage caregivers to attend as well, as the program provides opportunities for caregivers to support one another.
To register, call the Office for the Aging at 438-3030 or the Health Department at 278-1900.
