Fredonia woman injured in fall

FREDONIA – An unidentified Fredonia woman fell Saturday from an apartment building on West Main Street. 

Fredonia police said they were called at 1:40 a.m.  for a woman who fell from a fire escape. 

Officers arrived with the Fredonia Fire Department to find an unconscious woman laying on the ground with severe injuries. The investigation and interview of several witnesses revealed that the victim accidentally fell 25 feet to the ground after leaning over the rail of a fire escape.

She was taken to Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk and then to Hamot Medical Center in Erie because of the serious nature of her injuries.
