Woman robbed of $1,200 necklace in front of her children

A Duerstein Street woman told South District police Sunday morning that a man entered her home, pushed her to the floor, and stole a $1,200 necklace from the mantelpiece.

The woman said the invasion occurred shortly after 11 a.m. and was witnessed by her two children, ages 7 years and 11 months.

She said the man, who she knows, threatened to send other attackers to the home to “bust up your windows and tear up your car.”
