NORTH TONAWANDA – The North Tonawanda Department of Youth, Recreation and Parks is holding registration for pilates, zumba, Tai Chi, and body conditioning spring exercise programs. Full payment is required to register for each program at the department’s office, 500 Wheatfield St.
Pilates 2015 will begin on April 29 and continue for five consecutive Wednesdays through June 3, from 7 to 8 p.m. at Drake Elementary School, 380 Drake Drive. The cost is $15 for the five sessions for city residents and $17.50 for nonresidents. Participants are asked to bring a floor mat.
Zumba, an aerobic workout combined with Latin and international music, is held from 6:45 to 7:45 p.m. on Monday and Wednesday evenings from May 4 to June 1 in Ohio Elementary School, 625 Ohio St. Cost for the full course is $24 for residents and $28 for nonresidents.
Tai Chi sessions will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays from May 5 to May 28 in Ohio Elementary School. The cost is $24 for residents and $28 for nonresidents.
Body conditioning is a four week program held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays in Ohio Elementary School, from May 4 to June 1. Participants are asked to bring one-, two- or three-pound weights and a floor mat.
