Lockport Rotary Club selling roses for Mother’s Day

LOCKPORT – The Lockport Rotary Club’s annual “Mothers and Others Rose Sale” is under way and continues through May 4. Rotarians are selling roses for $20 a dozen to fund the club’s high school scholarship program and its sponsorship of the Lockport Community Pool at Outwater Park, spokesman Paul Lehman said.

Orders for a dozen long-stemmed red roses may be made with any Rotary member or emailed to the chairman of the sale, Jamie Zglinicki, at jzglinic@daemen.edu. Zglinicki will answer questions about the sale at 998-9397.

The orders may be picked up from 1 to 4 p.m. May 8 at the Old Fellow & Rebekah Rehabilitation and Health Care Facility, 104 Old Niagara Road, Lockport, or Rotarians may pick up or deliver the orders upon request. Last year, the 65 active Rotary members sold a total of 320 dozen roses.
