Lowdown: A two-year starter, Petty led the Baylor to back-to-back Big 12 championships and went 21-4 as a starter. … Showed toughness in missing only one game after cracking two small bones in his back in the season opener. … Led a 21-point fourth-quarter comeback against TCU. Lauded for his leadership. … Faces major questions about his ability to read a defense and get through progressions after playing in Baylor’s one-read system.

They said it: “There’s a lot to like about him. But when you watch him within the framework of their offense, he’s got a long way to go to become a pocket quarterback.” – NFL Network draft analyst Mike Mayock.
