If you have questions about iconic Buffalo eats – chicken wings, grilled hot dogs, beef on weck – you can get answers straight from the source April 17 at the Buffalo History Museum.
The museum is offering food and a lecture as part of “Giants of Buffalo: Food,” starring Ivano Toscani of Anchor Bar, Charlie Roesch of Charlie the Butcher and Thecly Ortolani of Ted’s Hot Dogs.
At 5:30 p.m. attendees get wings, beef and dogs. There will be a cash bar. At 7 p.m. John DiScullio of WBBZ-TV and Brenda Alesii, Entercom food columnist, will moderate a discussion, which will be recorded for television broadcast. There also will be a question-and-answer period. Corporate artifacts and Buffalo restaurant menus dating to the mid-1800s will be displayed.
Tickets are $20, $10 for members, through buffalohistory.org or by calling 873-9644.
