Waterline break closes some Lackawanna city offices

A waterline break early Tuesday led to the closing of several offices at Lackawanna City Hall.

The city’s tax deadline has been extended to Friday but officials stressed that citizens must remember that City Hall will completely close at Noon Friday because it will be Good Friday.

Tuesday’s waterline break did not affect the mayor’s office, City Court operations, nor the offices of the city law department and the departments of development, engineering, the comptroller’s office, the city clerk’s office and the city recreation department.
