WARSAW – The loss was estimated at $85,000 after a weekend fire destroyed a barn in the Wyoming County Town of Middlebury.
The fire at 4661 Capwell Road was reported shortly after 10 p.m. Saturday, according to the county Office of Emergency Services. The barn, owned by Brian and Wendy Rumley, was used as a garage and storage building.
No injuries were reported. Fire companies from Wyoming, Warsaw, Pavilion, Bethany and Attica were on the scene for more than three hours.
The building and its contents were declared a total loss. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
