RIPLEY – A free training session in the use of naloxone, the drug overdose antidote also known as Narcan, will be held on the evening of April 16 in the Ripley Free Library, 64 W. Main St.

The training, which is open to the public, will be hosted the Strength of Support (S.O.S.) group facilitated by Melody Morris of Chautauqua Tapestry. Registration is required by calling 753-4507. Space is limited.

Training will cover the four risk factors for overdose, the three signs of an overdose, techniques to stimulate someone who may have overdosed, rescue breathing and the correct way to administer naloxone.
