MAYVILLE – A man suspected of manufacturing methamphetamine in three locations in Chautauqua County was arrested over the weekend in Louisiana.
Christopher L. Swanson, 44, was sought by the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force for allegedly operating a meth lab in the Town of Westfield. He also was wanted on warrants by Lakewood-Busti and Jamestown police for operating labs in Busti and Jamestown.
Swanson, who is facing multiple felony counts of unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine, was taken into custody early Saturday morning in New Orleans by the U.S. Marshals Service and Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office. He will be extradited to Chautauqua County for arraignment.
There are additional outstanding warrants in Alaska for similar charges, police said.
Last May, Swanson was charged with running a meth lab on Schulz Drive in the Town of Westfield.
