Ex-Root Five in Hamburg sets reopening

The former Root Five in Hamburg reopens on April 1.

No, that's not a joke. In fact, after a winter that slowed most restaurant projects, Frank and Sara Testa’s Public House on the Lake (4914 Lake Shore Road) is opening as originally planned.

“We will also be open for dinner on Thursday,” Testa said. “We will be opening up for lunch and dinner Friday and Saturday and will be serving Easter brunch on Sunday. We are actually fully booked for Easter already.”
