Ken Harris, Dan Finucane, Michael O’Bryan and George Siefert were elected to the board of directors of the Western New York Basketball Officials Association at its annual banquet on March 20 at Ilio DiPaolo’s Restaurant in Blasdell. The association also made special awards to Williamsville North coaches Chuck Swierski and Rick Bubar for assisting one of its officials during a life-threatening situation last season. Incorrect information about the directors and the special awards was published in last Friday’s Bulletin Board.

HOCKEY: The Buffalo Stars will continue with Round 2 of boys travel tryouts on Tuesday, March 31, as follows: Midget U18 Tournament Bound AA at 4:15 p.m.; Midget U15 AA at 5:15 p.m.; Bantam Minor and Bantam Major AA at 6:15 p.m.; and Midget U16 Tournament Bound and Split season AA 9:30 p.m. Stars girls tryouts begin Wednesday at 9 p.m. All tryouts are at Holiday Rinks in Cheektowaga.
