The Lothlorien Therapeutic Riding Center, which serves riders with disabilities, has put out a call for urgent financial aid: It needs $115,000 to replace buildings severely damaged by snow. Now that the snow is melting, barn builders estimate the riding arena’s demolition and rebuilding will cost about $275,000, more than twice its $100,000 insurance coverage. Foundations so far have contributed $60,000.

To help get the remainder, the center set up a GoFundMe.com page called “Lothlorien TRC: Save Our Center.” People can also call or write Lothlorien Riding Center at 15 Reiter Road, East Aurora, NY 14052.

• The Town of Aurora Planning Board meets at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Southside Municipal Center, 300 Gleed Avenue.

• Absolute Care of Aurora Park will host a free Easter egg hunt with a visit from the Easter Bunny, a magician, train rides and a petting zoo for children 2 to 10 at 1 p.m. Saturday at 292 Main Street.
