The Amherst Girls Softball League is looking for players, coaches and volunteers for the upcoming season.

Players can register online at by clicking on the registration button in the middle of the screen to get started.

The league has a special offer this year called “Bring a Friend.” For each new girl you refer to the league, you will be reimbursed $10 off your registration fee.

Elsewhere, the Williamsville Arts & Culture Committee will present “Old Time Radio” at 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Williamsville Meeting House, 5658 Main St. The program is in conjunction with the Old Time Radio & Nostalgia Club of Western New York. Tom Cherre and Don Friedrich present excerpts from many old radio shows, including The Shadow, Lone Ranger, Bing Crosby, Fibber McGee & Molly and Gunsmoke.

This week:

• The Sweet Home Board of Education will hold a special voting meeting at 7:30 a.m. Tuesdayin the Vergils Center of Sweet Home High School, 1901 Sweet Home Road. The Board will immediately adjourn to executive session to discuss personnel matters.

• Amherst’s Information Technology Advisory Committee will meet at 6 p.m. on Tuesday in the Amherst Municipal Building, 5583 Main St., Williamsville.

• The Conservation Advisory Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday in the Amherst Municipal Building.

• The Amherst Traffic Safety Board at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the municipal building.

• The Energy Conservation Citizens Advisory Committee will meet at 7 p.m. on Thursday in the municipal building.
