A Riverside man faces multiple charges after he allegedly twice broke into a woman’s home and threatened her with a gun, Buffalo police reported.
Bryant J. Cunningham, 22, of Tonawanda Street is accused of punching and kicking the woman March 22 in her Bird Avenue home. He also allegedly put a gun to her head and threatened to kill her if she showed up Wednesday at Cheektowaga Town Court for a current case, authorities said.
Police said Cunningham confronted the woman again Saturday in her home where he allegedly beat her. He is also accused of forcibly taking her to his residence on both dates where he allegedly restrained and choked her. Northwest District officers responded to the Tonawanda Street home Saturday and found Cunningham hiding in the basement, according to a report.
He faces two counts of each of the following charges: burglary, unlawful imprisonment, assault, criminal obstruction of breathing and harassment. He was also charged with single counts of menacing, obstructing governmental administration and intimidating a victim or witness.
