NIAGARA FALLS - The Niagara River Lodge No. 785, Free and Accepted Masons, will hold an open house from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. April 18 at the lodge, 1001 South Ave. The event, which is free and open to the public, will include a tour and an introduction to Freemasonry, as well as light fare and refreshments.
“The event offers a perfect opportunity for anyone interested in Freemasonry to come and see what the fraternity has to offer, ask questions, see our beautiful, historic lodge building and meet many of the members,” Master of the Lodge Peter Stein said in a written statement. “The open house is a great way to start an exploration of Freemasonry, which has been such an integral part of our local and national history. It really will be an interesting and educational evening.”
The evening will provide an excellent chance for anyone considering becoming a Freemason to find out what the organization is all about and to ask questions. Potential candidates will learn about the process of joining and the many opportunities available to them, once becoming a Freemason, the organization said.
