ALABAMA — A Monroe County man is facing charges after Genesee County sheriff’s deputies say they found 1,400 untaxed cigarettes during a weekend traffic stop.
Nicholas R. Donahue, 21, of Spencerport, was stopped just after 8 p.m. Saturday on Judge Road in Alabama for driving without a front license plate. The 1,400 untaxed cigarettes found in the vehicle are more than allowed under state tax law, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Donahue is charged with possession, transportation or offer for sale of unstamped cigarettes, along with possession of marijuana and driving without the front plate. He must appear in Alabama Town Court next month.
