Knock on door of Schutrum Street home sets the stage for a robbery

A Buffalo man discovered a robber with a gun pointed at him after answering a knock on the door of his home early Saturday, Buffalo police said.

The victim, a resident of the 100-block of Schutrum Street, which is near West Shore and Bailey avenues, said the robber entered the home about 6:30 a.m. and made off with $70, a wallet containing credit cards, two cellphones and a set of car keys. The keys were then used to drive away in a 2007 Honda Civic, police said.
