Handgun pointed at driver on Niagara Falls Boulevard

NIAGARA FALLS – A driver told police that a man in another car pointed a handgun at him Friday night in the 4700 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard.

The victim, 24, told police he was eastbound about 10:15 p.m. when another car sped past his, then slowed down and stopped halfway up the 56th Street overpass. When the victim tried to go around the stopped car, he was blocked, police said.

The victim said the car, with three men inside, then pulled up next to his car in the 6600 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard, where the driver pointed the handgun, police said.

The victim then sped off, and the other vehicle – described as a rental Nissan Altima – pulled into the parking lot of a store, police said. The victim told police he had no idea why he was singled out.
