Buffalo man faces drugs, weapons charges

A Buffalo man faces drug and weapons charges after a raid at a Laux Street residence.

Frederick Perkins, 38, is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a narcotic with intent to sell after Erie County Sheriff’s deputies found more than a pound of crack cocaine, marijuana, packing material, a loaded 12-gauge shotgun and nearly $12,000 in cash Friday.

Perkins also is charged with criminal possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, two counts of criminal use of drug paraphernalia, and marijuana possession, according to deputies from the narcotics unit.

An investigation in the southern part of Erie County led to the arrest in Buffalo.
