Postal carrier admits discarding mail

A former U.S. Postal Service employee admitted Thursday to discarding mail he was supposed to deliver.

Brian Jaszczak, 24, of Buffalo, pleaded guilty before U.S. Magistrate Judge Jeremiah J. McCarthy to a misdemeanor charge of obstruction of the mails.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Elizabeth R. Moellering said the former postal service employee discarded pieces of mail on Dec. 19 of last year.
