Falls man sent to prison after failing in diversion program

LOCKPORT – Milton L. Daniels, who was ousted from the judicial diversion program of court-supervised drug treatment Jan. 22 after failing to follow its rules, was sentenced Thursday to three years in state prison and two years of post-release supervision by Niagara County Judge Sara Sheldon.

Daniels, 26, of Weston Avenue, Niagara Falls, had pleaded guilty to third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance when he entered diversion last August. He was charged with selling crack cocaine to police informants in the Falls on Oct. 23 and Nov. 12, 2013.
