Buffalo drug dealer pleads guilty to having gun

A Buffalo man who admitted using a gun as part of his crack cocaine business three years ago has again admitted to possessing a gun in connection with drug dealing.

Michael Woods, 25, pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm and possessing a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking before U.S. District Judge William M. Skretny Thursday.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Timothy C. Lynch said Woods was stopped by Buffalo Police on May 27, 2013, and when the defendant got out, he threw a 9mm gun and four vials of marijuana to the ground while running away from police.
