MAYVILLE – Three meth labs were discovered as a result of an investigation by the Southern Tier Drug Task Force and their special clandestine drug lab unit on Thursday during a raid at a Mayville home.
John V. Noel, 42, of Beaujean Road, Mayville was charged with one count each of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree and criminal sale of a controlled substance in the fifth degree. Additional charges are pending after processing of the items confiscated from the labs.
The warrant issued for Noel alleged that he sold quantities of methamphetamine from his residence to an agent of the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force.
Noel was arraigned and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of $75,000 cash bail or $150,000 property bond.
Among the evidence collected was meth oil, a quantity of methamphetamine, laboratory equipment, money, scales and packaging materials and other narcotic substances, investigators said.
