A 21-year-old Eller Avenue man was arrested Wednesday afternoon for allegedly choking a woman after he had driven off in a rented car that had been left running outside a Roosevelt Avenue man’s home.
Hodjee Robins was charged with robbery in the third-degree, criminal possession of stolen property in the third-degree, criminal obstruction of breathing, forcible touching and harassment.
The woman who called 911 told officers that Robins grabbed her and choked her. In arresting Robins, police officers reported finding the stolen rental car and a cell phone the Roosevelt Avenue man had also earlier reported stolen, according to a police report. Robins was also charged with criminal impersonation for having some of the Roosevelt Avenue man’s identification documents that he had left in the vehicle.
