Buffalo man faces possible life term and $10 million fine for drug conspiracy

Renwick Samuel, 50, of Buffalo, pleaded guilty Wednesday in Federal Court to charges of conspiracy to possess cocaine with intent to distribute it, according to U.S. Attorney Williams J. Hochul, Jr.

Samuel faces a maximum sentence of life in prison and a $10 million fine when he is sentenced July 15 by Senior U.S. District Judge William M. Skretny. The minimum sentence is 10 years in federal prison, Hochul said.

Between 2006 and the end of 2012 Samuel conspired with several others to distribute large amounts of cocaine in Buffalo until his arrest in December 2012, authorities said.
