The Veterans Administration Western New York Healthcare System will celebrate Women’s History Month this week during a presentation at Buffalo VA.
Alberta Lampkins, author and founder of A.L. Savvy Publications, will speak at noon Friday in Freedom Hall, Room 301, of Veterans Administration Medical Center, 3495 Bailey Ave.; all are encouraged to attend.
“Weaving the Stories of Women’s Lives” is the theme of this and related events at the VA.
“Accounts of the lives of individual women are critically important because they reveal exceptionally strong role models who share a more expansive vision of what a woman can do,” VA officials said in a news release. “The stories of women’s lives, and the choices they made, encourage girls and young women to think larger and bolder, and give boys and men understanding of the female experience.”
