Trocaire College will mark National Nutrition Month with a Nutrition and Wellness Fair at its main campus in South Buffalo.
The fair – free and open to the public – will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at 360 Choate Ave.
The theme of the national and local event, “Bite into a Healthy Lifestyle,” encourages participants to adopt a healthy lifestyle focused on consuming fewer calories, making informed food choices and getting daily exercise to maintain a healthy weight, reduce the risk of chronic disease and promote overall health.
Nutrition and Dietetics students will provide healthy eating tips, hand out “bites” to eat and host a used cookbook sale. Massage therapy students will give massages. And members of the Trocaire College Wellness Committee will provide healthy living tips.
Saturday in WNY Refresh, look for an In the Field story on Nicole Klem, who heads the school’s Nutrition and Dietetics program.
