Lynne S. Shiesley, a devoted mother and wife and realtor and real estate broker employed by Hunt Real Estate for more than 25 years, died Saturday in Cheektowaga. She was 67.
Mrs. Shiesley, the former Lynne S. Chiaramonte, was a Buffalo-native and Williamsville resident. She was an elementary school teacher for the Catholic Diocese before she made a career in real estate.
Her passions included her work as a broker and mentoring younger brokers. Her professional honors and awards from Hunt included the Charles Hunt Founders Club, the Executive Club and the Million Dollar Club.
She also enjoyed cooking and was widely known for her meatballs and sauce. Friends called her the “coupon queen” for her fondness for collecting coupons.
She enjoyed playing slots at the casino with her husband. She was a member of St. Leo the Great Church.
She earned her bachelor’s degree from Rosary Hill College, now Daemen College, and her master’s from Buffalo State College.
Survivors include Wayne Shiesley, her husband of 44 years; a sister, Lucia Chiaramonte; a brother, Thomas; two daughters, Nicole and Leah; and a son, Matthew.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday in St. Leo the Great Church, 885 Sweet Home Road.
