Laible announces bid for Niagara Falls City Council

NIAGARA FALLS - Alicia M. Laible, the former chairwoman of the city Democrats, announced Tuesday she will be running for a seat on the City Council later this year.

Laible, 31, is director of network development for Elderwood Health Plan and executive director of Elderwood Transportation. She previously ran for a Council seat in 2011.

There will be two Council seats available in the fall’s election. Incumbent Democrat Councilman Glenn A. Choolokian has announced his candidacy for mayor. The other incumbent, Councilman Robert A. Anderson Jr., also a Democrat, has not yet announced whether he will seek re-election.
