Darcy Regier planning to be in Buffalo for Sabres' game against Coyotes

As if Thursday's showdown between the Sabres and Coyotes wasn't intriguing enough, Darcy Regier is expected to be in attendance.

Regier, who spent 17 years as general manager of the Sabres, is senior vice president and assistant GM in Arizona. The Coyotes told The Buffalo News on Tuesday that he is planning to be in First Niagara Center for the matchup that could determine who finishes in 30th place.

Regier helped devise (and coined) the "suffering" plan put in place in Buffalo. He was fired in November 2013. He has not made any public appearances in Sabreland since he was let go.
