NIAGARA FALLS – Law enforcement agencies will be conducting an “active shooter drill” Friday morning at Niagara Falls High School.
The drill for about 60 area police and members of other emergency response agencies will include a staged hostage situation. The training experience for situations at the high school will allow emergency responders to become more familiar with the campus.
It will begin just after 8:30 a.m. and run until about 10:30 a.m. Traffic in the area will not be affected.
An exercise like this hasn’t been done at the high school in about 10 years, district officials said.
