Two yogurt products from Upstate Niagara Cooperative won national recognition last week at the 2015 U.S. Championship Cheese Contest held in Milwaukee.
The cooperative, which is known for its Upstate Farms and Bison products, took home the “best of class” award for its Greek Nonfat Blueberry Yogurt in the “High Protein Cow’s Milk Yogurt – Flavored” category. It scored a 99.50 out of 100 points. Its Lowfat Orange Cream Blended Yogurt won third place in the “Lowfat-Cow’s Milk Yogurt – Flavored” category with a score of 98.40.
Winners were chosen in a blind tasting from among 86 different yogurts in six classes.
