Lowdown: Clemmings spent his first three seasons at Pitt (including a redshirt year) at defensive end before switching to offense for the last two seasons. In that time, he started all 26 games at right tackle. … Bursting with potential, with the long arms (34 7/8 inches) and athleticism (former Division I recruit as a basketball player) found in today’s left tackles. Voted first-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference and second-team All-America by the Football Writers Association of America as a senior. … Being so new to the position, Clemmings is still raw and will require work on his technique. Because of his potential, probably won’t last until the Buffalo Bills are scheduled to make their first pick at No. 50 overall.
They said it: “He’s got beautiful feet. He’s a dancing bear. He’s a guy that’s a pass protector first. He just needs to clean up technique and get stronger, especially in his core areas.” – NFL Network draft analyst Mike Mayock
