LOCKPORT – Lockport Police put out a photo and call for help from the public on Saturday to identify a woman suspected of using a stolen debit card to take funds from an ATM machine in North Tonawanda.
On Monday night Lockport police reported an arrest and said several phone calls from the public helped them identify and charge a suspect.
Lisa Tessier-Duchesne, 48, of Miller St., North Tonawanda, was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, third-degree identity theft and petit larceny. She was located in her residence with the assistance of the North Tonawanda Police Department and placed under arrest by Lockport Police detectives. She will appear in City of Lockport Court on March 30.
“Without the public’s assistance, this case could have remained open for some time in an attempt to identify and apprehend the suspect. However she is now under arrest and facing multiple charges,” said Lockport Police Detectives Capt. Brian Wentland.
