Herschell Carrousel Museum offers eats and sweets

NORTH TONAWANDA – Some new and old favorite spring events will be offered at the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum, 180 Thompson St.

This year the museum will begin spring with grilled chicken on the barbecue at its first Chiavetta’s Chicken barbecue, from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday. All proceeds will benefit the museum. The dinner includes half a barbecued chicken, coleslaw, macaroni salad and a roll with butter. Tickets are $10 presale or $11 at the door.

On April 4, the museum will again offer its “Egg-cellent” Easter Event from noon to 4 p.m..

There will be games, crafts, and an egg race, weather permitting. At 1 p.m. there will be a balloon magic show with Janice Spagnola.

Tickets are $6 per person and will be available on the day of the show.

Another popular event, a three-course Victorian Tea, will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. April 25. Reservations are required.

This year special guest Denise Reichard will join guests in the role of Eleanor Roosevelt.

Tickets are $25 per person.
