BOWLING: A new Wednesday afternoon league is forming at Tonawanda Bowling Center for seniors 55 years and older. League starts Sept. 9 at noon. GOLF: The Brighton Park Women’s Tuesday Golf League is currently accepting new members. The 2015 season begins May 5 at Brighton Golf Course, located at 70 Brompton Road. Golf carts are available. New members must be able to shoot 75 or under for nine holes, and there are no residency requirements. HOCKEY: An additional tryout has been scheduled for the Buffalo Stars travel Peewee AA program (Peewee Minor-2004, Peewee Major-2003) for March 26 at Holiday at 6:15 p.m. All participants must present a release from their current organization in order to participate in the tryout. LACROSSE: Buffalo Youth Lacrosse is now registering boys and girls for the spring and summer season. Boys program begins April 26 and the girls program on May 10. SOCCER: Registration is now open for Soccer Shots, a non-competitive sports program for kids ages 2-6 with locations at parks throughout Erie and Niagara counties. In 2014, more than 2,000 children played in programs located in more than 60 daycare facilities and schools and 30 public locations.
