LOCKPORT – A Buffalo woman accepted a plea offer Monday, the day her nonjury trial was to have started on a felony charge of taking part in the theft of jewelry from the KMart store on Military Road in the Town of Niagara two days before Christmas 2013.
Corrine M. Colby, 31, of Tonawanda Street, admitted to petit larceny and was scheduled for sentencing July 16 by Niagara County Judge Sara Sheldon. It’s the same charge earlier admitted to by both of Colby’s co-defendants, Christina M. Allein, 32, of Tonawanda Creek Road, Amherst, and Lonnie A. Horton, 43, whose last listed address was the Buffalo City Mission. They are awaiting sentencing. The jewelry, valued at about $2,500, was recovered.
