Temperatures won’t feel like spring early this week, but would you settle for sunshine?
High temperatures Monday are forecast to reach only the mid-20s, compared to normal average highs of 45. “There will be a decent amount of sunshine, at least,” said meteorologist Jon Hitchcock of the National Weather Service in Buffalo.
After overnight lows in the mid-teens, temperatures will warm into the mid-30s Tuesday. Still below normal, but it will be sunny.
“At least it’ll look nice the next few days,” Hitchcock said.
Warmer temperatures finally will reach the area in the middle of the week, with mid-50s forecast for Wednesday and 40s on Thursday. But rain also enters the picture; Hitchcock said potentially heavy rain on Thursday could increase the flood threat as the snow melts in the hills.
