West Side man found passed out with drugs, 1-year-old son

A West Side man allegedly in possession of drugs was found passed out on the landing of his apartment Saturday night with his 1-year-old son next to him, Buffalo police said.

Central District officers responded about 9:26 p.m. for a report of a man possibly under the influence of drugs pushing a stroller on School Street.

Police said Jose G. Reyes, 26, possessed marijuana, a pill bottle containing three clear plastic baggies containing a greyish powder believed to be heroin and an oxymorphine pill.

Reyes was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, endangering the welfare of a child and a violation of state public health law.
