Jail inmates charged with narcotics infractions

TOWN OF LOCKPORT – Routine searches of the cells in the Niagara County Jail resulted in two prisoners being charged Saturday after marijuana and suboxone strips were found in their possession, sheriff’s deputies reported.

Charged were Michael A. Quarcini, 41, of Eighth Street, and Eric J. Bartram, 37, of Zito Drive, both in Niagara Falls. Each was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana and first-degree promoting prison contraband.

The pair were arrested in separate incidents between 4 and 5 p.m. Saturday, deputies said.
